Stage 1 Water Restrictions

The City of Lucas is currently in Stage 1 Water Restrictions. Beginning April 1st through October 31st watering between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. is prohibited.

Rain Freeze Sensors

As a reminder, the City of Lucas residents should be aware that Rain Freeze Sensors are required on all sprinkler systems.

These devices help ensure that sprinkler systems do not activate during freezing conditions or during rainfall events. These devices contribute to water conservation and can prevent unsafe ice conditions from occuring.


Water Rate Increase

The City of Lucas' City Council passed Ordinance # 2008-12-00635 on December 18, 2008 concerning an increase to the in-city and out-of-city water customers to be effective with consumption use beginning February 15, 2009.


Water Management Program

The City of Lucas is required by federal and state guidelines to develop, establish, and advertise a storm water reporting line to solicit information related to illicit discharges and illegal dumping; complaints, and general comments regarding Lucas storm water management program. If you have an opportunity, please read the enclosed flyer with the monthly newsletter it gives more detailed information on what the community can do to help improve water quality through very minor changes in general daily activities.
