Community Waste Disposal (CWD) is the new residential trash and recycling services provider in Lucas. The new base residential trash and recycling services includes one free CWD trash cart and one free CWD recycle cart. All residents will receive weekly collection of trash, recycling, and brush/bulk. In addition, all residents will have the opportunity to request door side collection of household hazardous waste or used electronics twice per year. These services are included with your base residential rate of $26.10 (including taxes and fees). A senior citizen discount rate of $23.49 (including taxes and fees) is also available to request if you meet the requirements. There are also optional services you may request for an additional fee such as extra carts, concierge service, and manure/stable matter collection. Weekly Trash, Recycling, Bulk and Brush Pickup
CWD will pick up your trash, recycling, bulk and brush weekly on your service day. Place all items out no later than 7:00 am on your pickup day for service. CWD will pick up your trash, recycling, bulk and brush between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.

Missed Pickups
If you have experienced a missed pickup during this transition, below are ways for you to report and schedule a pickup:
- Call CWD at (972) 392-9300 and select Option 2
- Email CWD Customer Service at: [email protected]
- Go online to the CWD website (customer service tab at the very top right) to submit a request at: https://communitywastedisposal.com/customer-service/
- Download and utilize the CWD mobile app available in the Apple and Google Play store

- Removal of old carts from Barnes Waste Disposal and Republic Services
Senior Citizen Discount Rate
The City will offer a senior citizen discount rate for seniors ages 65 or older on base residential trash/recycling services only. Seniors ages 65 or older can apply for the senior citizen discount rate. This discount does not apply to additional optional services such as extra carts, concierge service, excess bulk, or manure/stable matter collection.
