
As part of the Future Mobility Study, Collin County is hosting a series of in-person and virtual public meetings to present information and gather feedback on future transportation improvements in southeastern Collin County. The City of Lucas is a part of this selected region.
Collin County is growing rapidly, and the current transportation infrastructure is not sufficient to support that growth. The Future Mobility Study will help guide future planning in the region and identify transportation improvements that will be needed in the coming years. Recommendations include the build-out of a comprehensive thoroughfare network, multimodal considerations, and early analysis of a potential new north-south freeway east of Lavon Lake.
