SPECIAL ELECTION FOR PROPOSED SALES TAX PROPOSITIONS MAY 12, 2012

The Lucas City Council is currently considering an ordinance that would place propositions for two additional sales taxes on the ballot in the upcoming May election. This item will be on the agenda for the City Council meeting of February 16. The following information is being provided to you so that you may have an understanding of what is being proposed.

STAGE 3 WATER RESTRICTIONS EFFECTIVE APRIL 1, 2012
The board of directors for the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) voted Thursday to relax the Stage 3 Enhanced provisions of the NTMWD's Water Conservation and Drought Contingency/Water Emergency Response Plan (The Plan) that went into effect January 2012 in response to the on-going drought and water supply issues. The City will continue enforcment of the water restrictions.
