The City Council meeting to adopt the proposed operating budget for fiscal year 2025-2026 will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025 at 6:35 pm (or immediately following the Lucas Fire Control, Prevention and EMS District meeting to be held at 6:30 pm). The meeting will take place at City Hall, located at 665 Country Club, Lucas, Texas 75002.
THIS BUDGET WILL RAISE MORE TOTAL PROPERTY TAXES THAN LAST YEAR’S BUDGET BY $679,869, OR 13.30%. THE PROPERTY TAX REVENUE TO BE RAISED FROM NEW PROPERTY ADDED TO THE TAX ROLL THIS YEAR IS $203,600.
