Councilmember Brian Stubblefield

Councilmember Stubblefield was raised in Garland, Texas. Councilmember Stubblefield attended Texas A&M University where he obtained his degree in Agricultural Economics before moving to the Houston area to build houses for the next seven years. Councilmember Stubblefield married his high school sweetheart and have been married for 24 years and have three children. After the birth of their first born they moved back to the north Texas area settling in Wylie, Texas for the next 10 years. Along with the move came a career change in to law enforcement that is going on seventeen plus years, and has been serving in the criminal investigations unit for the last eight years. Councilmember Stubblefield is actively involved at Allen Heights Baptist Church and has coached youth sports for the last fourteen plus years to include baseball, basketball, and softball.

History in Lucas
Councilmember Stubblefield and his family moved to Lucas in 2017 for the open spaces, the ability to have horses and chickens, safe place for their kids to play and explore, small town atmosphere, the best sunsets in north Texas, and the highly rated school district. Councilmember Stubblefield has served on the Board of Adjustments as a member and ultimately as Vice-Chairman and was a member of the Building and Standards Commission. Preserving large lots that give Lucas the country feel so many seek, growth by adding value not at the expense of the integrity that make Lucas special, and making sure Lucas has adequate public safety resources to keep its residents safe are among the important values of this great community.
