The City of Lucas contracts with Collin County for the provision of animal services. Collin County Animal Services provides animal control officers to enforce Health and Safety Codes and Agricultural Codes. These officers can assist the public with dogs at large, injured animals, and aggressive animals. Should your animal issue involve livestock, the Collin County Sheriff’s Office will respond. Collin County Animal Services also provides the city with animal sheltering.
