CERT stands for Community Emergency Response Team. Are you interested in helping your community in times of need? EastTex Regional CERT is looking for new members who want to make a difference. CERT is an organization through FEMA to help train and organize communities at the local level to help during disasters. EastTex CERT is sponsored by the Rockwall County Office of Emergency Management, and are an all-volunteer organization that helps local law enforcement, fire, and emergency management when disasters strike, missing person searches, and public event support. They have over 200 active members and serve Rockwall, Hunt, Kaufman, Collin, and Van Zandt Counties and the Town of Sunnyvale.
